Online casinos Accepting Canadian Players
The online casino industry seems to be one of the most busy and active news developer on the internet. It seems as though the struggle for a safe and legal casino gaming portal is a never ending story. Just recently our fellow Canadian online casino games enthusiasts received some negative news from some of their online casinos of choice. Some of the most famous online casinos gave their players the dreadful news that they will no longer be accepting players from Canada. If this were to be a permanent issue, it would really mean a step back for the industry in this country, especially since the recent efforts in British Columbia.
Some of these online casino establishments did mention that players could access a number of their games, such as slots and video poker, via their no-download format. This instant version of the games allows for players to enjoy their favorite slots in an instant manner. Somehow, the laws and regulations in Canada are still up in the air and haven’t made it clear if these casinos can continue to take deposits from their customers or not. Speculations surrounding new laws have forced many online casinos in Canada to change their policies but industry experts are hopeful that this will change in the near future with the creation of new and law-abiding online casinos in cities like Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. When the time comes and regulations are modified in favor of online casinos, players will be allowed to deposit and play as usual.
Nevertheless, players in Canada still have the option to access some great online casinos. These casinos are fully licensed by a regulator that provides a totally legal gaming experience. The casinos that take Canadian players still offer quality games for them. These casinos offer players with one of the largest selections of slot machine games including the popular interactive slots, classic 3 reel slots and fun video slots with quite a few themes to choose from.

Legality and Reality about Playing Online Slots
There’s a lot of information in cyberspace about the reality and legality about playing online slots these days. In the United States for example, these matters seem to be up in the air and in a constant evolution. This year a few events regarding this topic have occurred and they’re certainly worth mentioning. The online casino and gambling community is eager to hear good news regarding the legal future of placing their online bets in the United States, but history tells us that this is far from easy or close to happening.
The first six months of 2010 gave birth to the first legal North American online casino, ran by the Canadian province British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Even when facing a few bumps in the road, this was one of the most important achievements for the online gambling industry. Not a lot of time passed after this Canadian online casino was made legal when Republican Barney Frank’s bill to legalize internet gambling in the United States had a hearing in committee. Since both of these very important events happened within a very short time span, the online gambling community had their hopes up and Superior Casino fans that lived in the United Stated were excited for the near future.
However, much remains to be debated about this controversial topic. Online casinos that offer slot machine games, poker, blackjack and all sorts of online betting online are still on a state of limbo regarding the legality of these types of games. However, not all battles have been lost as many already know that online betting on horse racing online is already legal, with the exception of the major horse racing events of the Triple Crown and the Kentucky Derby. The future will tell what will happen with US online gambling as these activities attract millions of players which could eventually turn things around for the online community.

Prohibition of gambling as an existential issue
We are only 4 days away from the deadline of the UIGEA, the infamous gambling ban that attempts to put a block on nearly all forms of internet gambling (expect horse racing, lotto and other less mainstream forms of betting). The question many have right now is whether the UIGEA is powerful (and clear) enough to make a change. Many politicians have already speculated that Americans will continue to gamble online whether there is a law against it or not. Proof of this is that still millions of Americans gamble from their computers and the UIGEA has yet to prove its effectivity. If the UIGEA can bring a change when it is so hard to keep control of who’s playing and who’s not and what’s most important, through what methods the money is being handled (which is ultimately what the UIGEA is against, the financial transaction methods for gambling), then many Americans will have to face a serious threat, namely, what to do with all the extra free time.
Online gambling easily takes up several hours of many American’s daily schedule and without having their routine to recourse to they will have to figure out what to do. Internet has taken up much of modern man’s time, in some cases exceeding the time spent in front of a TV. Beyond any doubt human beings have to occupy themselves with some hobby or activity in their free time and gambling ended up being a prime entertainment source for many Americans. What will they do now if they don’t have the liberty to gamble their own money on the internet? It is more than likely that pressure will be put to Washington and a more lax law should come in place, allowing consenting adults to do as they will with their money and free time.
